Virtual Reality:

In this, the first of our deeper dive sessions, you will experience both 360VR video and 3D graphics-based virtual reality.  You will receive “hands on” experience with a range of devices, including:

  • Cardboard/Phone viewer
  • Tethered, such as Oculus Rift and Lenovo Mirage
  • Untethered, such as Oculus Go and just released Quest

You will learn from case studies and more about the development process for both types of VR.

 



 

August 20th

Mixed Reality:

Microsoft Dynamics 365 Guides Authored and Unity Developed Solutions for the HoloLens

In this session, you will learn about how a wide variety of companies are already using mixed reality for training and on the job performance support.

Great news for the development process too!  You will see how mixed reality modules can be developed without programming skills using Microsoft’s new Guides application.  You will also see how more complex applications are developed by programmers in tools such as Unity.

 

 



 

September 24th

Augmented Reality:

Mobile Device and Headset DeliveryThis form of XR has been limited in the recent past to delivery on mobile devices such as tablets and smartphones. 

Companies such as Lenovo have very recently made breakthroughs in both the cloud platform and a new headset device that you will experience well ahead of public release. 

You will also learn from related case studies and get insight into the augmented reality development process. 

More to come on this deeper dive session as we get close to its date.
